The knowledge base is under construction

We are gradually publishing more guides on sound reinforcement, event technology, sound production, lighting, streaming, and AV systems. Check back soon — the database will be regularly updated with new materials!

Concerts, festivals, and outdoor events

Concerts, festivals, and outdoor events require planning the technology according to the program, number of participants, conditions of the venue or area, and the artists' requirements. Professional execution of a concert includes not only sound reinforcement and stage lighting but also preparation of the stage, monitoring systems, power supply, structures, multimedia and all the support needed for the safe and efficient handling of the event.

In this category, we discuss the technical organization of concerts, festivals, city events, and outdoor events – from analyzing riders, stage plots, and input lists, to selecting PA systems, FOH, monitors, and IEM, to lighting, stage, structures, and the course of rehearsals and changeovers. We also explain how to plan the assembly schedule, the work of technical crews, power supply, and protection of equipment from weather conditions, as well as prepare emergency solutions.

The materials help organizers, producers, institutions, and people responsible for events understand what the technical production of a concert or festival looks like and what information is worth preparing before starting cooperation with the performer.

About Art-Live

Art-Live is a team engaged in sound production, sound reinforcement, lighting, event technology, streaming, and audio-video production. We work daily on concerts, conferences, corporate events, and AV installations, which is why the materials published here are primarily based on practice and real production experiences.

In the knowledge base, we share solutions that help better understand the technical side of events — from selecting the sound system and preparing the rider, to the work of the FOH engineer and wireless systems, to broadcasting, multimedia, and designing AV installations. We care about specific answers, correct terminology, and explaining issues in a way that is useful for both event organizers and people working in the technical industry.
